Groundforce Portugal has started its ground handling assistance to United Airlines' new daily route between New York (Newark) and Oporto.
The contract extension with United Airlines includes a daily flight beginning May 5th, with 5,000 passengers assisted monthly providing passenger, baggage, cargo and supervision services.
After assuring the assistance on the Lisbon station since the start of this company's operation in Portugal, Groundforce now reinforces its relationship with United Airlines in Porto with the guarantee of excellence and quality measured by passenger satisfaction, punctuality indicators and levels of performance.
According to Paulo Neto Leite, Groundforce Portugal’s CEO, "The assistance to United Airlines in Porto is a recognition of Groundforce Portugal's service excellence and we are very proud to be associated with such a significant passenger increase in Oporto, and to be part of the development of tourism in the north of the country."
After also starting to assist Iberia in Oporto, Groundforce Portugal thus expands its customer base at this airport, providing assistance to a monthly average of 250,000 passengers.
